The IIT-JEE 2011 Result will be announced today(25th May 2011) on 8 am. The Examination was conducted in 1,051 canters across 131 cities. To Check Your result please visit the link:


Since you have checked your result we will try to get you the some analysis on whether you will get your seat in particular IIT you wanted among the total 15 IITs.

Total Number of Students attended the Examination: 4,85,262
Total Number of BoyStudents: 3,71,320
Total Number of Girl Students: 1,13,942

Excat Girl Candidate Numbers attended for each IIT:

IIT-Madras - 20,546
IIT-Roorkee - 16,976
IIT-Delhi- 16,877
IIT-Kanpur - 16,770

Excat Boy Candidate Numbers attended for each IIT:
IIT-Bombay - 68,735
IIT-Kanpur - 63,661

The Competition increased a lot this year, almost 40% of IIT-Aspirants Increased this Year. So 40% more competition when compared to last year will worse many IIT-Aspirants Dreams.

Total No of IITs: 15 (13+2)
This year we will have two more New IITs.

New IITs This Year:
IIT-Indore (120 Seats)
IIT-Himachal Pradesh (120 Seats)

New Courses This Year:

IIT-Hyderabad offers a new group called Chemical Engineering where students will get 115 New Seats.
IIT-Rajasthan is offering a new course called System Science, Number of Seats details is not known excatly.

Reservation in IITS:
  • Old IIT's - 18% Reservation to backward Classes
  • New TTT's - 27% Reservation to backward Classes
  • SC/ST Cutoff - 50% Relaxation in Marks
  • Pysically Handicapped candidates - 3% Reservation

Last Years Vacant Seats in SC/ST Candidates category will be added to this year vacant seats

Counselling:
IIT's may consider counselling for the second time, this means individual counselling will be conducted for the vacant seats, if the seats were not filled in the direct counselling.
